Meet Our School Council

At Lanercost, our school council representatives play a pivotal role in everyday school life. Following a democratic vote, our School Council is made up of our Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, followed by a representative from each year group. This creates a central group that speaks on behalf of the whole school and makes decisions about school life. We value the opinions of our pupils and the School Council gives pupils a forum to share these opinions with the Headteacher and other members of staff.

The school council will take on the responsibility of offering a variety of different fundraising opportunities and respectfully listen to the views of all the children on different subjects at different parts of the year.
