About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our established team at Lanercost CofE Primary School as an Early Years Practitioner! This role is also open to applicants wishing to complete their Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship. We are looking for somebody who is keen to work and develop their skills in our excellent Early Years provision from September.
You will work alongside experienced practitioners and develop the skills needed to work with the first stages of education. You'll need to be enthusiastic, friendly and a team player.

General duties to include
Listening to children read.
Preparing resources.
Carrying out observations.
Help children who need extra support to complete tasks.
Prepare the classroom for lessons and practice good housekeeping to ensure the classroom remains in good order.
Working under the direction of the class teacher
Take part in training, meetings and reviews

Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
Training & Qualification Details
This Level 2 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –14 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via ZOOM) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.
Entry requirements
You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end of this programme. Therefore, if you do not already hold a grade 4/C in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional Skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent).
