EYFS This term we are learning what life was like for both the rich and the poor in Tudor times. We will also learn about famous Tudor Monarchs like Henry VIII (with his six wives) and Elizabeth I. Our role play area is currently set up as a Tudor ship, so the children can image they are famous Tudor explorers navigating their way around the world! We will be making the most of our local links to Tudor history by visiting Naworth Castle (home of the Howard family) for a special banquet later on in the term.
Woodland School for both Nursery and Reception will be on Tuesday mornings and PE for Reception will be a mix of multiskills training and football. This term we will be using a range of stories based around giants, dinosaurs and the beauty of our natural world to inspire the children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS.
Our Christian value for this term is Responsibility. We will be using stories from the Bible, as well as lots of practical examples to bring this value to life within Class 1. Nursery and Reception for example, will be focusing on developing their social skills and learning how to be 'responsible' both at school and at home.
